Rotary Fair Road Cleanup

By: Pranet

Troop 89 gathered at the Rotary Fair Grounds for a community clean-up, working hard to collect and remove large amounts of trash. With everyone pitching in, the fairgrounds were quickly restored to a clean and welcoming space. A special thanks goes out to the Robo Raiders for joining us and helping make the job go even faster!

August High Point State Park

By: Sahishnu

On my August trip, we went to High Point State Park. I had a total of 6 scouts and 4 adults on my trip. We got to see the highest elevation point in New Jersey at the top of the monument which multiple scouts and adults climbed. We went hiking on multiple trails to satisfy the compass requirement of navigating 5 miles as multiple scouts needed that. Some roses were that the weather and food was great and the views in the trail were nice. Also, we made a really great fire on the 2nd day and some scouts successfully lit a fire for 2 minutes. 1 thorn I had was that we were a little slow at cooking.

Skill of the Month

As scouts one of our pillars is to be prepared. So to brush up on important skill here is a skill of the month.
